Every February, the community gathers for sleigh rides, cardboard sled races, snowmobile rides, food, music, and more at Carthage Recreational Park in celebration of outdoor winter fun. The event is typically held on the 2nd Saturday of February. Click the links above for more info and event registration forms.
Citizen of the Year Dinner
Co-hosted with the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPOE) Lodge 1762, to honor an individual nominated for his/her volunteerism and dedication to the community. Nominations must be turned in no later than 3/26/2021. The annual dinner is currently scheduled for 4/21/2021. Complete your nomination for the 2020 Citizen of the year here.
Every Friday, end of May through mid-October, get your farm-fresh and locally-made items from the market! 2021 Market will open May 28th!
In July, residents are treated to a dazzling fireworks show over the Black River. The festival includes craft and food vendors, kids’ activities, and live music until dark when the “must-see” fireworks show begins. Currently, the July celebration is scheduled for July 10, 2021. More information will be released soon.
Business Awards Dinner:
Every fall, the Chamber recognizes our members that have made a significant impact on our community. The 2021 Business Awards are currently scheduled for October 19, 2021. Nominations are due by September 6th, 2021.
The Chamber kicks off the holiday season with a joyous and popular parade that highlights the community’s fine businesses and organizations. This year's parade has been canceled, but we are encouraging the community to join the decorating contest!
A memorial service and tree lighting ceremony are held to remember past loved ones and honoring those who are still with us. Donations are collected to sponsor a bulb on the tree. The community is welcomed to the tree lighting and virtual prayer service in the center of downtown Carthage at the Village Green Park on Saturday, December 4, 2021
